Resident evil 5: Retribution 3D

As mentioned on one of my previous post, this year has been one of the biggest year for the resident evil series. With the upcoming release of the 6th installment of the game series and 5th installment of the movie series, the resident evil fans are excited. Yes, 10 years after the release of the first movie in the resident evil series (in 2002), the 5th film will be released on September 14.

Alice and Ada

This time it's with many new characters and of course, also with a lot of action. 4 months ago Sony pictures released an official trailer for the movie. The characters, Ada Wong (played by Li Bingbing), Leon S. Kennedy (Johann Urb) and Barry Burton (Kevin Durand) are newly introduced characters of the movie.

In the movie, the Umbrella Corporation's deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating undead. The human race's last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington DC, and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by new found allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Now let's have a look at the trailer. We first see some people holding some gadgets, (Sony gadgets, like psp and....) standing on a road, saying their name followed by "this is my world". On the following part we see flashes of buildings in America. Then a scene where Alice, in a black outfit, standing on the top of the white house, with some soldiers, she says,"My name is Alice, and this is my world."

On to the next scene, we see a large creature in pursuit of a driving car and the driver is trying to out run the thing. We can't clearly see who is inside the car. In the next scene we see four people (Luther West, Leon S. Kennedy, Ada Wong and Barry Burton) standing, side by side, on a snowy mountain.

The next scene is very confusing as we see Alice in normal, civilian cloths standing near a road, a little girl (perhaps, her daughter?) holding on to her. We could also see a police car driving past them and in background we see a burning car. Perhaps the town is been attacked. This scene might be a flash back to before the first movie.

Next we see a group of planes, like the planes from the last scene of the last movie of the series and they are shooting at something or someone. Then we see Alice, this time in her black outfit, standing on a crowded road and people are still moving normally. This is perhaps before the infection.

The next scene we see Michelle Rodriguez as Rain Ocampo in her black military uniform. She was one of the last one to die in the first film of the series, but now she's back. Maybe she is a clone.

Then we see Ada and Alice taking out their gun and pointing/shooting at someone. The next scene features Ada Wong, in her signature red dress, running inside a house while some people (troopers?) is shooting at her from behind.

The next scene is some what similar to a continuation of the last scene of Resident Evil: After life. We could see the same war planes shooting at the ship, Alice and other characters in same outfit fighting back or simply running away.

Next we see Alice fighting some people using a chain as a weapon in a white background. For a moment we could also see Rain, pointing her gun above her. Maybe something's attacking her from above. Then we get a scene where Alice is running away from a group of zombies.And that's the end of the trailer.

From different sources I also came to know that, in the film, Ada will be held captive by Jill Valentine and fight scene between Jill and Alice that involved over 200 moves was filmed. This indicates that somehow Jill had become a "bad girl."

Sorry for being such a resident evil evil fan, but I'm hyped-up excited.
